Scanner.

After years of not having one, I'm getting a scanner today. Apparently it's good, and it god damn sure should be considering it cost me an arm and a leg, so in the future my uploads should be a lot sharper, smoother and less clunky in the distribution of shading across the paper. Several days ago I was having a serious "artist block", a feeling most common to my fellow dA-users, and by serious I mean I had all the time I could ever want and more on my hands, but I wouldn't find inspiration or energy, not even a concept for a drawing or painting, so I spent several days watching Xena the Warrior Princess, reading Charles Dickens and feeling miserable because I actually just wanted to make a picture or two, but whenever I tried as much as picking up the pencil I'd immediately retort to rearranging my music folder or reading the instructions on how to play Skip-Bo or pretty much any nonsense. Like I probably mentioned in an earlier entry, I've picked up reading after a long period of not reading, due to the lack of interest, good literature and the physical ability to move my eyes along the lines. However, in the past couple months, I've read a lot and enjoyed every bit of it. Then I think how little young people, or people my age in general read and I kinda feel sorry about that. I'm not the arrogant, elitist type that looks down on my peers because they find something else than sitting down with a book more worth their while, hell, they're probably right in a way, but I personally just love a good story.
